Race Review - North of England Sprint Championships 2009

Trafford RC won two events at the annual sprint championships on Hollingworth Lake. 

Will Robinson and Kernius Malys brought their regatta season to an end by winning a very competitive J18 double sculls event.  There were seven entries and the Trafford duo progressed from the heats to beat Cambois and Merchant Taylors in the final.  The pair have raced well all season and were disappointed not to qualify for their event at National Schools and National Championships, so a win at the end of the season is well deserved and will hopefully set them up for a more successful season in 2010.

The men's novice eight have been working hard all summer and a fantastic win over two crews from Liverpool Victoria will give them added encouragement to take into the upcoming head season.
