Race Review - Nationals Championships 2009

Trafford RC Treasurer Tanya Taylor continued a successful season by winning a silver medal at the National Championships of Great Britain which took place at a blustery and rainy National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham this weekend.  Racing over the 2000m multi-lane course in the women's coxless fours, Tanya, who was again racing in Agecroft's first boat, steered her crew to a silver medal behind a Great Britain junior composite crew.  Cardiff were third followed by City of Oxford in fourth place.  Trafford's junior coach Lydia Birch was also in the Agecroft crew for the first time this regatta season.

A silver medal at Nat Champs rounds of a successful summer season for Tanya.  In June Tanya reached the final of the Women's Senior Eight's at Henley Women's Regatta, as well as recording a win and second place on consecutive days at the Metropolitan Regatta in May.
