Race Review - Henley Women's Regatta 2009

Trafford RC treasurer Tanya Taylor reached the final of the Senior Eights at Henley Women's Regatta this weekend.  With no Trafford entry in 2009, Tanya trialled for a seat in the first eight of local neighbours Agecroft RC, staking a claim to the seven seat.  Defeating City of Bristol and Wallingford in the quarters and semis, Agecroft were beaten by Yale University from the USA in the final.  Tanya joins Trafford member Martin Chandler, and former members Amanda Hynes and Amy Wolstencroft, who have all achieved either a semi or final at either HWR or Henley Royal Regatta in recent years.  Tanya was also in the Trafford crew that reached the quarter finals of the intermediate coxed fours at HWR in 2006.
